Diverticulosis and diverticulits help. More later

(NaturalNews) There is often confusion surrounding the difference between two conditions known as diverticulosis and diverticulits. I'm going to explain the difference and reveal how to treat the symptoms of diverticulitis naturally. Diverticula are small, pea-sized, bulging pouches in the digestive tract. While diverticula can form anywhere, most occur in your large intestine and are many times found in people that experience frequent constipation.
Having diverticula in the intestines is known as diverticulosis. This condition is many times unrecognized by the person affected because diverticulosis seldom causes any problems. Every once in a while however, diverticula can become infected or inflamed. This condition is called diverticulitis.
Many experts believe that a low-fiber diet is a key contributor to diverticulitis. Reason being is lack of fiber in the diet can make stool sometimes harder to pass. The excess pressure can result in certain areas of the colon to become weakened and collapse. This results in marble-sized pouches (diverticula) protruding through the colon wall. These pouches, which are small at first, but become larger gradually; typically develop in the sigmoid and descending colon. These are the lower portions of your large intestine just above your rectum. They are often the result of straining during bowel movements over a number of years.
Sometimes stool can become lodged in one of the pouches and the result can be an infection. Small tears or perforations can also develop in an infected pouch, which can lead to an infection within your abdomen (peritonitis). A person may also develop a collection of pus called an abscess if the infection is limited to an area around the wall of your colon where the diverticula are inflamed.
Diverticulitis can be acute or chronic. The majority of people affected are usually between the ages of 50 and 90. One reason that older people are generally more affected is that the walls of the large intestine tend to weaken with age.
For many people, symptoms are non-existent or mistaken for simple indigestion. For those who do experience symptoms, a pain in the lower left side of the abdomen is common. The pain is typically severe and surfaces rather abruptly. However, sometimes a person can experience a mild pain that can worsen over several days and have a fluctuating intensity.
Other typical symptoms include abdominal tenderness, fever, nausea, and constipation or diarrhea.
Less common signs and symptoms of diverticulitis may include:

  • Vomiting
  • Bloating
  • Frequent Urination
  • Difficulty or pain while urinating
  • Rectal Bleeding
  • Tenderness in the abdomen
  • Blood in the Stool
While the reason is not exactly known, there is some evidence that links smoking & stress to symptoms becoming worse. Other factors that increase risk of diverticulitis are disease in the genes, gallbladder disease, obesity & coronary artery disease. The best steps you can take in treating diverticulitis have to do with your lifestyle.
A high fiber diet has been shown to be protective against diverticular disease. You'll need at least 20 to 35 grams of fiber a day to help prevent problems from diverticulosis. Consume fresh fruits and vegetables, cereals that are high in fiber and bran. Be sure to drink plenty of pure water each day, as a high fiber diet will not be effective without adequate water consumption.
Studies have also shown physical activity, specifically jogging or running, to protect against symptomatic diverticular disease.
Avoid foods such as celery and corn as these foods contain indigestible roughage and use bran to prevent constipation.
Eat a diet with your primary source of protein being from fish & vegetables. Stay away from grains, seeds or nuts, as these foods can be hard to digest which results in bloating & gas. Other foods that should be avoided include dairy products, red meat, fried foods, spices, sugar products as well as processed & refined foods.
Also remember to:

  • Try not to strain during bowel movements
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Exercise moderately
  • Drink at least eight glasses of pure water a day
  • Avoid smoking
Establish a regular bowel routine by spending at least 10 minutes a day trying to have a bowel movement at approximately the same time. Avoid extremely hot or cold foods and fluids (which cause gas).
When you feel an attack or pain coming on, give yourself a cleansing enema with 2 quarts of luke-warm water mixed with the juice from a fresh squeezed lemon. This will aid in ridding the colon of undigested food that has been trapped and will also relieve pain.
Aside from lifestyle changes, supplementing with the following can also be helpful:
Acidophilus (Take as directed on label) - Helps support a healthy intestinal tract (gut) and replaces the flora in the small intestine, primarily to improve assimilation.
Fiber (Take as directed on label) - Helps prevent constipation. Also prevents infection.
Super Greens Formula - Garden of Life provides an excellent greens formula that is high in chlorophyll, which is extremely beneficial for this condition. Diverticulosis sufferers also seem to do better when chlorella is part of the diet. Chlorella will provide you with all the benefits of magnesium, carotenoids, chlorophyll and much more.
Vitamin B Complex (100 mg 3 times daily) - Aids in proper digestion.
Proteolytic Enzymes (Take as directed on label, between meals) - Aids in digestion & reduces inflammation in the colon.
Essential Fatty Acids (Take as directed on label) - Aids in protecting the cells that line the wall of the colon.
L-Glutamine (500 mg twice daily. Take with water or juice but never with milk) - Maintains the absorption surfaces of the gut called the villi.
Vitamin C - Anti-inflammatory and boosts immunity. I recommend a minimum of 3,000 to 8,000 mg daily in divided doses.
Garlic - Aids in digestion and is a natural antibiotic. I personally use Kyolic Aged Garlic Extract by Wakunaga, which is a high-quality odorless organic supplement. Take 2 capsules 3 times daily.
Alfalfa (2,000 mg in capsules or tincture) - Natural source of vitamin K and essential minerals that most people with intestinal disorders are lacking. Also contains chlorophyll, which aids in healing.
Aloe Vera Juice (Drink ½ cup 3 times a day) - promotes healing of the inflamed areas.

Natural news* RICE

I think everyone should check out natural news and get their reg. up dates on things...Ilove them.(NaturalNews) The Chinese food contamination freak show is back in full swing with new reports out of Singapore indicating that certain Chinese companies are now mass producing and selling fake rice to unwitting villagers. According to a report in the Korean-language Weekly Hong Kong, the manufacturers are blending potatoes, sweet potatoes, and plastic industrial resin to produce the imitation rice.

A report in Very Vietnam states that an official from the Chinese Restaurant Association has announced that eating three bowls of this fake rice is the equivalent of eating an entire plastic bag. Consuming such plastic material is obviously a serious health hazard, and officials are allegedly gearing up to conduct an investigation into the factories accused of producing the phony rice.

The scandal is not a surprise when considering China's long legacy food problems, including the 2008 melamine-tainted milk incident where roughly 300,000 people were injured and at least six infants died as a result of being poisoned by the toxic chemical (http://www.naturalnews.com/024837_f...). Other tainted food from China has included melamine-tainted pet foods, lead-tainted children's cups, and even another fake rice case where a Chinese company added synthetic flavorings to ordinary rice to trick people into thinking it was the more expensive "Wuchang" variety.

Some media commentators have already begun to run wild with the fake rice story, comparing the imitation rice to what they say is the imitation reality in which the world lives.

"Fake stimulus, fake money printing, fake GDP growth, fake goods and services being produced, is ... forcing us to consume fake food because we can't afford real food, because we have no real growth, we have no real economy, we have no real industry, we only have fake stuff," bemoaned talk show co-host Stacy Herbert from Russia Today. "So it makes sense that we're only eating fake food."

How to Live a Toxin-Free Life

Decide to take action and say NO MORE to toxic chemicals!

Do you know how many of our beauty products contain toxic chemicals we would NEVER knowingly use?

I invite you to look around your home at shampoos, conditioners, lotions, toothpaste, hand soaps, deodorant,s contact lens cleaners, and cleaning product bottles. See how many of them contain these toxic chemicals below. READ YOUR LABELS!

Propylene Glycol - found in ANTI-FREEZE! Keeps things moist.-known to damage cell membranes causing rashes and dry skin.
-can cause gastro-intestinal disturbances, nausea, headaches and vomiting.

Sodium Laurel Sulphate – used as an ENGINE DEGREASER! Creates foam.-can cause skin to flake and separate
-can corrode the hair follicle and impair its ability to grow hair
-could keep children’s eyes from developing properly
-may damage children’s teeth

Paraben - Used as a preservative and germ fighter
-has been found in breast tissue of women with breast cancer
-often can cause skin problems and allergic reactions.

DEA - Used as foam boosting surfactant emulsifier and dyeing aid
-linked to cancer when applied to skin

Talc - Used as a ‘dry’ lubricant-chemically similar to asbestos
-linked to ovarian cancer

Aluminum - Mostly found in deodorants
-is a skin irritant
-linked to nerve damage and brain disorders such as ALZHEIMER’S

Did you find these chemicals in most of your beauty products?

rodent hill wonders??? toxin free

On average, babies in the United States are born with 167 chemicals in their bloodstream. In a typical day, all of us may be exposed to about 200 toxic chemicals, many thought to cause cancer, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's. You can protect yourself by making a conscious choice to live toxin free. .Difficulty: Moderately ChallengingInstructions.1Evaluate your environment. Check your cleaning and personal care products for the following super toxic ingredients: Propylene Glycol (PG), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (monoethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), Sodium Hydroxide, Triclosan, DMDM, Urea (Imidazolidnyl), Parabens, Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) and mineral oil. Purchase natural products and get rid of everything else. 2Replace personal care items, such as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, bath oil, hand lotion and others with products containing natural ingredients, no petroleum-bases and no synthetic fragrances. If you need motivation to change brands, it might surprise you to know the FDA doesn't regulate the cosmetics industry. 3Switch to non-toxic, biodegradable laundry detergents and fabric softeners that don't contain chlorine, phosphates, strong fragrances or dyes. For example, try adding ½ cup vinegar to the rinse cycle of your wash. Don't worry, the vinegar smell goes away when it dries and leaves your clothes nice and soft. 4Change to chemical-free household cleaning products. Look in your kitchen for ingredients like Borax, vanilla, vinegar, salt, corn starch, lemon juice and baking soda, all great cleaners and deodorizers. If you don't want to make your own cleaning supplies, check online for several companies that offer toxin-free solutions. 5Consider replacing anything in your home treated with formaldehyde, such as bedding and carpeting. You can find non-treated, cotton percale sheets and sources for toxin-free carpeting online. 6Watch what you breathe. Buy an air purifier with a HEPA filter. Or do-it-yourself with houseplants that absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen back into the air. 7Revamp your drinking and eating habits. Filter your water and don't drink from a plastic bottle; use glass or steel. Buy organic foods and prepare at least 2 vegetarian meals a week. .Best Anti Aging Skin Productswww.Kiehls.com NEW! Toxic overload

A toxin is any substance that causes irritating or harmful effects in your body. We acquire toxins from our envirment by breathing them in by ingesting them, or though physical contact. Every day we are exposed to new and stronger chemicals, air and water pollution, and radiation. We use more drugs, eat more sugar and refine foods, and turn to damaging props such

Adverse Effects of Stress

Stressful situations trigger your body's fight-or-flight response, a primative biochemical reaction that puts your body on red alert. If stress then continues, physical and mental health can be undermined as the stress hormones adrenaline and hydrocortisone disrupt the functioning of the immune and circlatory systems. Thus your body becomes less efficiant at eliminating toxins, and your toxic load increases.

How your body handles toxins

Your body is designed to cope with toxins, and neutalizes, transforms, or eliminates them. The liver is the main organ of detoxification, thansforming toxins into harmless agents so that they can then be eliminated. The kidneys filter out waste products from your blood into your urine. Your intestines propel potential toxins and indigestible material from your food into the bowel for excretion. The lungs expel gases such as carbon dioxide, which are produced in the cells and filter out poisonous gases you breath in. The skin elimanates toxins via sweat and sebum (skin oils) and by shedding dead skin cells. The lyphatics systems carries waste products that are too large to enter the bloodstream to the lymph nodes for processing. They are then returned to the liver via the bloodstream for detoxification.

Ways of detoxing

Detoxing is a relative term. Anything that supports elimination will help you detox. Doing no more than drinking at least 3 pints of water a day will help you flush out toxins. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables - high water content, cleansing foods-and fewer meat and dairy product will reduce congestion and increase elimination. However, it is important not to go to extrems-fasting although I do recommend juice fasting it has all the nutrients you need, frequent enemas use of diurects, and excessive exercise carry the danger of making you lose essential nutrients.
Detoxing involves reducing the intake of toxins and improving their elimanation though diets and body therapies such as spa treaments and skin brushing. You should also try to avoid chemicals, refined foods, sugar, caffine, alcohol, tobacco, and many drugs to reduce the toxin over load.
The most imprtant way of  stengthening your body's natural defenses and combating the daily onslaught of toxins is to improve your diet. Food can provide a rich souce of antioxants and plant chemicals, which improve the way your body eliminates waste products and increase your body's ability to remove pollutants,

Just when I heard it all. I understand the procedure but I thought you could fix that by taking pro biotics but dont get me wrong I believe I have an open mind im just saying i dont think this is for me but I dont know. This one is a hard for me to comprehend.

Poop Transplants Exist, Save Lives

Just in case you wondering, a thing called a "fecal transplant" exists, and saves lives. Like most terrible medical phenomena, we can blame poop transplants on Purell moms and the antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" they hath wrought.
Warning: The following true medical story is heinously disgusting.
An intestinal superbug called C-diff causes diarrhea so debilitating that the world's most powerful antibiotics cannot treat it. But some doctors have had success with a creative new medical procedure. Take it away,
AP:
Now a small but growing number of doctors are trying a last-ditch treatment: Using good bacteria to fight off the bad by transplanting stool from a healthy person into the sick person's colon.
15,000 people die of C-diff every year, and though only a few dozen fecal transplant have been documented in medical journals, the breakthrough is exciting enough (or, uh, weird enough) to have the gastroenterology world buzzing. Fecal transplants function "like an organ transplant minus the anti-rejection drugs": Bacteria from the health poop colonize the unhealthy colon and end up vanquishing the unhealthy bacteria. And now, the grossest part of all: How fecal transplants are performed.
There's no one method. Brandt insists on a list of tests to make sure the donor doesn't have diseases such as hepatitis or HIV, or intestinal parasites. Then the donor, usually a close relative, brings in a fresh stool sample that Brandt liquefies and essentially drips into the patient's colon during a routine colonoscopy.

more bathrooms

Toilet tank and aquarium combo
I’m still sort of wondering if this is one of the last remaining April Fool’s gadgets that are still lingering, but if no one’s actually made one of these cool bathroom accessories; then I will. Anyway, I’m a naïve trusting, sort of person, so I’ll take this gadget at face value.
This remarkable toilet combo does exactly what it says on the box, functioning as a toilet cistern and fish tank.
There are actually two tanks, the outer one is the aquarium and the inner one flushes the loo. But for goodness’s sake DON’T get confused and put the fish back in the wrong tank or you’ll have some explaining to do to the kids.

The kids will certainly love this loo though, not least because of the novelty idea of the fish tank in the toilet, but the in-built LED lighting will certainly brighten up their visits to the bathroom
There’s a water filter to keep help keep the PVC walls clean, and the tanks are designed to be easily dismountable for cleaning. So the thing’s fairly practical and not unreasonably priced at $400 when you think that it comes with everything except water and a few guppies!
Order it for the kids today. They say that money can’t buy you love; but this is one instance where I’m sure they’re wrong!

being happy

I keep seeing these ads for what i call happy pills.HHHHmmmmmm. Im not a doc lets say that. But these ads have me worried.  Happy all the time.Geasssse La'weeease We are unhappy because God made us with moods and we eat crape with unknown chemicals in it.Moods make you work hard to change your life.Tv would have you believe it just happens. I picture a person standing in a field with their hand out reached for hours ,days ,weeks even years saying ,,,well,,, im not happy where is it. I dont know idiot just stand there with your arms out it will just come. The happiest people in life are living and moving and giving to other  the selfless hard working. The ones that we say how do you do it.
Tv and game are crazy fantasy's we have been watch our whole lives.
We jump  into  bed   faster than we ever did before. If the men don't have to woooow us as much why should they. WE settle for lust because we have sex faster and frankly we cant tell the difference from love. I believe our Happiness is tied to our morals and values. the harder you work for something the more you take care and respect it. Look at some rich kids that have it all handed to them. They don't thing twice about the little things. Like the kid who had to work for 2 years and walk to work , just to get a car of their own. Or how they treat the hard working cashier by talking on their phone when she is trying to serve them. Like entertaining friend with our family or visiting instead if texting. If they had to work at them little jobs to get a car they would understand. The world is skipping the steps and expecting the same results. And the games and tv well they just give us more and more unreal picture of life. Soap to name one you don't just kidnap some one, rape someone, and then become the head of a hospital. You don't stage your death and come back as someone else and then everyone just forgets. You would be in jail. The soap get more and more bizarre and never show the real ramifications. You say that's tv well you don't just look at something for generation after generation and don't soon learn exception for it. On and on will I guess what I'm saying is maybe we are always unhappy for many reasons 1. We watch and now expect. 2. Some kind of health thing that has to do with what we eat and/or some imbalance in our body. 3. owr morals and values are shot. No matter what it worries me that we would take a pill and just settle instead of the real answer. Wow i worry where do you go from there. Granted the other would be a whole lot of work with billion of other people you would have to get to help you, wow will the pill is looking good. Or maybe we could just get up off our butts and do good things for other people(out side your little circle) forget our selves and make them happy, raise the bar on our standards and morals. And when we get lost in it and finally look up we might see happiness.

I was making breakfast when it just popped in my head I remember the bird experts saying to me once don't use nonstick cook ware it will kill your birds. Oh really then we are being poisoned every day. Not just breathing but maybe our food too. One supposed expert said the pan never gets hot enough to do so. Bull shit the bird will not agree.I wonder who is a part of this. If I sold you something and someone said it would kill house pet birds and therefore you are being poisoned I wonder how long it would take for someone to caught me and jail me bring a law suit against me. look it up if you think I'm kidding.

I got most mine at yard sale and thrift stores
