Almost everyone I coach on the phone or online asks me about going on a fruit juice diet. They’re eager to know the shortest route between them and their weight loss goals, and they've heard about the dramatic results that juice fasting can provide.I say think health first that is just an awesome side effect.If you weight is off then something is off in your diet and in your body. Most times a fast, juice fast can fix it. I'm no Doctor but,,Year after year of results convinces me that juice fasting is by far the most beneficial thing anyone can do to supercharge their health , well being and miracles if deadly illnesses cured just wow me every time it, never gets old. Not to mention it’s the absolute fastest road to weight loss and the body of your dreams. But fasting on fruit alone or embarking upon and all fruit juice diet may prove to be a bit problematic. Read on.
The truth of the matter is that, while the natural health benefits that are significant, fruit contains a large amount of natural sugar and, unlike vegetables, is best eaten with fibers intact. The reason why a juice fast is so powerful is simply because when you juice a vegetable or a fruit you will have removed the bulk, or fiber, and from the area that provides nutrition – the juice. You then simply consume the nutritive part of the plant, the part that contains the nutrients your body needs, and allows you to receive all of this without spending all the energy that is necessary to break down the food on it’s own. This energy will be freed for your body to begin cleansing. It is similar to little brushes scrubbing away at your cells and removing the fat from your system.
Instead of a fruit juice diet, you are advised to take in huge variety of different coloured fresh fruits. This will ensure that all of your necessary nutrition requirements are being taken care of, leaving you with plenty of energy. Fruits such as apples can potentially provide a great base for a number of juices, but if consumed alone they spike the blood sugar level which will then drop shortly after and leave you with less energy than what you had before. It is obvious to say that this isn't the effect that we are looking for with a juice fast.
If you want to juice fruit, that’s fine, just make sure to add greens like kale, spinach or watercress as greens help the sugars absorb into your system slowly preventing those unwanted spikes in blood sugar and energy fluctuation.

Kate’s Green Dragon
1-2 green apple (or any variety)
Two stalks of celery
1/2 cucumber
Three handfuls of spinach or, if you would prefer, two handfuls of kale
1/2-1 lemon to taste (I like mine sour)
No matter what you’re juicing, it is important that you combine different vegetables into the mix, especially green vegetables. This will prevent those spikes in blood sugar and will help to maintain a stable energy level to support your body undergo powerful cleanse. You will be flooding your body with the necessary nutrition it will need to get a good and clean, helping you become radiantly healthy, and achieving what I like to call “thin from within”.
There are a lot of Pied Pipers in the world - ( media,Mis.O, government, fashion designers, celebs, Martha, and Doctor Oz). They are playing their pipes as the Rats follow behind. They lead us to where it profits or suits them the most. Granted some may have the intention of trying to help but the point is people follow in an army of fashion.Withoutchecking all the facts for them selves. People should have their own minds. washing vegetables and fruit
I guess you can use the veggie wash I never have check whats in it. Many people make their own with vinegar and a water mix. I use organic and wash very quickly in hot water to kill parasites. Then real cool to cool off maybe even set there for a min. One more thing people are tossing things away because they are wilted people please. After you use what you are going to you put it back in the frig. Then the next day or the day after that when ever, it seems to be limp a little. take a bowl or your clean sink and run some slightly warm water even temp water. Baby baby I call it. and put it in for a few min. It will drank the water it still alive just hasn't been watered. Now take it out and lets it set damp for a few min. see it perk back up wowow. Then when it looks happy again shake off the water, pat dry a little, put it in the frig. be sure to do this before it shriveled remember starting to look limp.Some thing will give you more juice with help WATER. I wash and put my roots( ginger) and at work wheat grass, parsley what ever in temp water the more water it drinks the more juice it gives me. One lady said it all water. I laugh it a living thing with cells as the water leaves the cell so does you ability to juice the goodness. Think of how you dehydrate things and rehydrate things. You need the water in the cells so you can extract to goodness. Hydrate all that you can. maybe a sink of temp water and your ready to go veggie while you set up your juicer and get your glasses and jars out and your days what ever you take your stuff in to keep it cold.Then dump the water and put it in the coldest water you can while you are juicing. I like the first juice to be a little cool and since we are trying to drank that first one in side of 17 min. no time to refrigerate. After that my bottles go into my little personal cooler and off I go to work. Chillin on ice yummy.

Comments....The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin. Tumeric has been used for over 2500 years in India, where it was most likely first used as a dye.
The medicinal properties of this spice have been slowly revealing themselves over the centuries. Long known for its anti-inflammatory properties, recent research has revealed that turmeric is a natural wonder, proving beneficial in the treatment of many different health conditions from cancer to Alzheimer's disease.

Day 3- detox/ juice fast
DAY # 3 of this juice fast/ detox...
Wow i had a good day.
Made my juice drank over 8 oz. right away.pack my juice for the day. And to me being bizzzzzy made it so much easyer. I also to my detox tea with me. You need to drank detox tea it makes everything go much faster and better. and don't forget your bentonite clay see older post ,I think I posted a video. Detox tea get it at the health food store.
Hows my son? well He called and asked me to make him a salad. Well I'm happy he's doing this with me. So I made him a salad. It's raw and he's 14. So he stepped back. Just like I tell every one the third day it's a bear keep bizzzy. But if you step back dont knock you self out . Jump back in and for me I've found that is the last . I don't know if it's the guilt or what but it just seems to be the last. But your goal is to not.. Each time you fast and yes you need to do more. Spring and fall would be perfect. But once a year better than nothing some years just dont suit. But if you plan your year it works much better.So one more day has passed. The only thing That happened to day is I kept dropping things. But then Andy came to work and said He kept dropping things. Just the day I guess.

Well your juicing now is a good time to balanc your ph check it out see where you are.
This is the best chart I have ever found. Later you could copy it and keep it handy. We never eat right it seem everyone needs work here. If your are eating right it's seem to be right every time. So you dont need anyones book or anyone to tell you much if you test and watch your ph. level.
Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline ( 7.35 - 7.45 ). Below or above this range means symptoms and disease. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. A pH below 7.0 is acidic. A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.
An acidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals. If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur.
An acidic balance will: decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it's ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness. A blood pH of 6.9, which is only slightly acidic, can induce coma and death.
The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline producing foods like fresh vegetables. Additionally, we eat acid producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks. We use too many drugs, which are acid forming; and we use artificial chemical sweetners like NutraSweet, Spoonful, Sweet 'N Low, Equal, or Aspartame, which are poison and extremely acid forming. One of the best things we can do to correct an overly acid body is to clean up the diet and lifestyle.
To maintain health, the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. To restore health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.
Generally, alkaline forming foods include: most fruits, green vegetables, peas, beans, lentils, spices, herbs and seasonings, and seeds and nuts.
Generally, acid forming foods include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes.

Effects of Juice Fasting on the Immune System

They extend long projections followed by contraction of filaments drawing the nucleus and rear of the cell forward. In this way, neutrophils rapidly advance along a surface. Neutrophils are actively phagocytic engulfing bacteria and other microorganisms and microscopic particles. When they arrive at the target, neutrophils have microscopic packets of potent enzymes capable of digesting many types of cellular materials.
The bone marrow of a normal adult produces about 100,000,000,000 neutrophils daily. When a bacterium is engulfed by a neutrophil, a metabolic process within the granules produces hydrogen peroxide and a highly active form of oxygen called “superoxide”, which destroy the ingested bacteria.
Heightened Monocyte Killing and Bacterial Function: Monocytes are the largest cells of the blood, averaging 15-18 micrometers. They make up about 7 percent of the leukocytes. Monocytes are actively mobile and phagocytic. They are capable of ingesting infectious agents and other large particles. Monocytes usually enter areas of inflamed tissue or at sites of chronic infections.
Enhanced Natural Killer Cell Activity: Natural killer cells were first recognized in 1975. Researchers observed cells in the blood and lymphoid tissues that could kill tumor cells and cells infected with viruses. Most immunologists feel that natural killer cells play an important part in checking the growth of tumor cells and cells infected with some viruses.

I think it's funny every day I log on and always look to see what ads they put up here. I not sure why it is so interesting to me. I wish they would put up JUICERS or something like that. But I was told some how I can control some of that .But I'm new to all this and I'm not sure when I'll get there. For now they are entertaining me. Because of the sites name there are a lot of p c(took out these words because of ads) one opps now I typed that they're be more. fasting day one
Well the first day went well i snapped the rubber band 12 times and my son snapped it for me 5. I tried to explain its for negative thoughts or things I say Not for what you don't want to hear lolo. My son did great to and he's the greatest kid for doing it with me. Believe it or not I could have caved in once today but he pulled me out and said no. You see i went to the gym. They have Tv's on the machines and every 15 min. was three ads for food I had to unplug it HAHA. I got a birthday present and my act of kindness is I started making a bag for someone today. I'll get better at the acts of kindness. I had many things to do to day and was trying to get this thing rolling. I felt a little foggy at the end here and my energy dipped a little but that's normal the first few days. I may not have noticed if I'd been working and very bizzzy. But all in all I feel fine. We drank a lot of water and juice. and now it's detox tea and a movie. Well we have a movie to watch. Oh tip of the day when driving don't read all the food signs. It doesn't help although I didn't get hungry that made me think of food.

health, healthy, health here We Go.
I have a few things to say today. First if
my fasting buddies are reading this and I'm sure you are. One thing I heard from
one of you. I just keep telling my self I'm doing I just cant be fat any more.
Wow honey this is not where your mind needs to be. Some how people believe there
this head,( your mind) just setting on top of this vehicle,( your body) and just
ridding around. Opps sorry wrong. Your mind, your thoughts, your head ist
attached to it all. Fasting is a time of rest for your body. I know we have to
work but the inside needs to rest. And if you do a thirty day fast I would love
if you could take at least a week off some where in the middle of it. But that
ok if you cant. Well its not ok it's life. The body goes into re pare mode on
the third day. This is when we need to work on our into voice. You know the one
that smart ass one that has all the side way comments you can't or shouldn't say
out loud. Or the one that is trying to kill you. I cant quit smoking, I can run
that far, I don't like going there. Giving up meat is going to kill me it's to
hard.I'm going to tell the kids their chores but they wont do it. Every time I
drive there I get every red light.I'm getting old. She's prettier then me. I
wish I looked like that.I hate getting up early. I wish I didn't have to go to
work. Lord knows there 1000 in there you listen to him all day. Well you can't
turn him off but you can turn him around. Try the rubber band it your wrest.
Snap it lightly when you do it. Lightly youll have 1000 and I dont want you to
hurt your self.When I go there if I get a Red light I'll say a pray for someone
random for every light. Wow isn't it cool how there are so many of us pretty
people. Pretty in their own special way, then look at everyone that day and say
in your head what makes them pretty. He has the prettiest smile. She has the
greatest taste in shoes what ever. Look how much money I'll save not buying meat
and my body is loving this break it takes a week or more for it to digest one
helping of that heavy setting in my stomach crape. Its time to do your every
day, one act of kindness and that, as Grandmother used to say needs to be kept
to your self or it doesn't count. She said you can't claim the glory or it
doesn't count.Take time, 15 min. a day, in a quite room or out side and just set
there think of nothing this one will take days weeks even the 30 day to learn.
Think and imagine your body repairing its self, turning back the clock, dumping
all the toxic stuff we have encountered up until this point. I write this and
you read but you need to do. It may seem silly that that inter dude.That guy is
killing you, now do it. Oh yeh maybe a small list of kind things would be
helpful. Now my son and I start today and I will report to you on how it goes.
This time and this time alone I will list my acts of kindness and how many times
I snap my rubber band. I hate listing my acts of kindness but I feel some need
to understand. I wont list what I thought when I snapped the band because we all
need to keep that man to our self and I think it would be counter productive for
me to relive or remember it again, remember we are changing him.
Now when I say Juicing I mean Juicing not a blender. Drank 8 or more once as fast as you can live ya know then keep it cold and drank all day when I say all day I mean Duck Tape the bottle to you chest if you like drank, drank. Try to stay away from to much apple and carrot sweet if you can for at least the first two weeks. And remember you'll get better at this. Know one starts as the tennis pro when they pick up the ball.
This is why is said in an earlier blog post we should have a club and we could make this fun because it is. But we could get together and juice for each other at someones house. Play cards watch a movie share recipes or what ever girl talk or girl guy talk what have. oooow Yoga together. Meditation. Long walks quietly in the wood or at the lake oooow that's it. New thinks together not parties and excitement relax and reflective, peaceful with company. oooh sweet lets do it. I'm waiting for your calls if you don't call I'll get ya. Please do this for your self for the right reasons. Loosing weight if you need to is just a side affect that will happen as your body and mind repairs it's self it will start putting back together as god design you to be,,, before the world toxin crap came to be suck a burden on your body. He design you perfectly. It doesn't need your help to beat the heart or pump the blood or lose the pain or fix the allergies or pimples or hormones and more serious illnesses. "B12 is running low in my family tree. A couple of relatives have been regular at getting B12 shots. I never felt like I needed the shots, because I thought I could get by with red meat, liver and sublingual pills. I decided to try the patches just to see... I did not expect them to be more effective than sublingual pills.
I must say I was wrong. From the first patch I noticed the boost, which is at first more subtle than the more noticeable boost of the sublingual pills giving you more B12 in a shorter time span. (From Amazon.com) For me a much better alternative to effective sublingual pills"B12 is running low in my family tree. A couple of relatives have been regular at getting B12 shots. I never felt like I needed the shots, because I thought I could get by with red meat, liver and sublingual pills. I decided to try the patches just to see... I did not expect them to be more effective than sublingual pills.
I must say I was wrong. From the first patch I noticed the boost, which is at first more subtle than the more noticeable boost of the sublingual pills giving you more B12 in a shorter time span. But it picks up over time and feels way more efficient. By way of example, I used the big plate in my road bike and did not pant at the top of three bad climbs hours after getting the patch. To get this kind of effect with sublingual pills after getting low of B12 would take over ten days for me and quite a bit of dedication remembering to keep supplementing. It can get rather tedious waiting for the pills to dissolve under the tongue.
The second day I used two patches right behind the ear, but they both fell off, presumably from the sweat biking. Yet the day before the one patch I tried less close to the ear stayed put biking and after two showers, and I had no dropped patches since. If you exercise, watch out for areas where sweat would accumulate.
